Nail Art

Why spend at least twenty dollars to get your nails done with a fancy design? You would probably say something along the lines of, I cannot do it or I don’t have the tools to do those designs. Well now you don’t have to pay those expensive prices if you fallow my tip on how you can use common house hold items.

First a standard design, there is several tools you can use. First and my personal favorite is a paper clip. Paperclips come in a few different sizes, and you can also reuse it. It is easy to get the nail polish off of one by using nail polish remover. And it works as a dotter and a design tool. You can also use a toothpick, bobby pin, a ball point pen and so on. It is whatever is comfortable for you to use.  Each tool has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Second you can make a nail sticker. You print out a nail size photo. The photo must be a mirror image. Then you place the paper in a plastic bag and trace over it with a paperclip or toothpick. Next you blob the color of your choice on there and remove the access (the stuff outside of the design). Then you put the bag on your nail and peel off. Then your design is complete. It may take a few tries the first time.

Third how to keep a straight line, masking tape can be your friend. There is so much you can do with masking tape. First is to create a straight or crooked line. Tape off the section you don’t want. But also you can cut it to a design and peel it off even.  You could even use a fancy hole puncher and punch a star into it and put it on your finder paint in the area and have a star in the middle.

The possibilities are endless; you can use a face sponge and fade the colors together. Use plastic wrap to make a marble effect on your nail. Even use newspaper to make a design. Or even make your own nail polish with eye shadow. All you need a thought and you can create it!
