Alaska

Going on a trip to Alaska would be absolutely amazing. The scenery is stunning and there is so much to do there. Yeah I know, it's not the ideal vacation spot for most people, but for those who like to be outside Alaska is the perfect destination. Sure, there isn't many white sandy beaches with crystal clear warm water, but there are most certainly some beaches and many water front areas.

Just because Alaska isn't tropical doesn't mean it isn't beautiful. It's just a different kind of beautiful. Instead of palm trees, there's gigantic forests of ever greens. Some so big you would be astonished. There's probably some of the most interesting wild life as well. I know it's no African jungle with elephants, zebras, or Giraffes but there are animals; big ones at that. There are moose and bear, and they are a site to see. Alaska probably has some of the best fishing around as well.
Getting to Alaska isn't as tough as some think. There are specific air lines for the state and also lots of hotels, cabins, and camp grounds.
Flying to Alaska isn't very cheap though. For two adults to fly there right now, it is close to $900.. And that is not by any means  cheap!
Now, just because Alaska is very out in the middle of no where doesn't mean there aren't any resorts. There are gorgeous all inclusive resorts. Those of which have plenty of information about Alaska and actually have tours and things you can do. They can lead you in the right direction to any where or anything you want to do in Alaska, whether it be hunting, fishing, hiking, driving through scenic areas, four wheeling, or white water rafting, they can help you!

  1. Candy, I love your blog! I am the type of girl who would rather a tropical vacay but you may have convinced me into vacationing in Alaska. I agree that it is very beautiful. From the sky, to the mountains, to the pretty grass. Upon my bucket list would be white water rafting, it looks so much fun but also so dangerous but whats not fun about living on the edge? I think for as far as Alaska is away from Massachusetts the plane fare isn't too bad. I think that it would be very worth the $450 per person! I love to fish also, but catching big fish in Alaska would be even better.. The only negative side of Alaska is Sara Palin... need I say more? Some of my all time favorite TV shows are centered around Alaska such as Alaska State Troopers and The Deadliest Catch.. Hopefully all of this attention will draw tourists to this beautiful place!
