Buffalo Wild Wings (also known as B-Dubs) is a sports resturaunt and sports bar. It was founded in 1982 and ranked eighteenth on Forbes List for being one of Americas Best Small Companies.  Flat screenn tv's cover the walls.  You also have the choice whether to play games from yuor seat electronically, or play something else.

    For this resturaunt their specialty is wings, that come in a variety of flavors! Which goes perfect with any sports game.  As any restuarunt would, the resturaunt offers diffent options on the menu as well.  They also have kids menues, cocktail menu, dessert menu, and main courses with appetizers.  So everyone can find something they like. I would suggest this resturaunt to anyone, and rate its food as well as its service a five out of five.  One man wrote a reveiw on his experience saying, "At first sight I was a little overwhelmed, the space is huge, the televisions are everywhere and it’s a little bright and loud for my taste (it’s a sports bar, after all), but from the second I stepped through the door the service was impeccable."

  I personaly love this resuraunt because theres always something to be doing or seeing.  I was always enetertained by either the tv or the games. I also love their food, I never leave disappointed.  I never tried ranch wings before I went there, nor have I even heard of them.  I would say this resturaunt is for any one who like sports , families, friends, etc.  Also for work events, or meetings.  A reveiw given by Carol C. on February, 21, 2013 reflects on her experience for having a meeting at this resturaunt.  "Came here for a work event. Servers were able to support my overwhelming event pretty well! Would come again if I had to host a large group."   It has various locations throught the U.S and is progressing in the buissness feild.  They also are expanding their location range and opening more Buffalo Wild Wings nation wide.   They are a franchise company and are currently promoting the NCAA, for "March Madness".

The Perks of Being a Wall Flower

The Perks of Being a Wallflower was not only one of the greatest books ever written, but the movie was a billion times better.  It was based on the bestselling novel written by Stephen Chbosky. This movie will be sure to make you laugh and want to cry. It has Emma Watson from Harry Potter and Logan Lerman a rising star. It’s about a young fella named Charlie and how he starts going to high school. When he first gets there he has absolutely no friends, but his first friend is his English teacher. Until later on he meets Patrick, a senior in his woodshop class. In his woodshop class no one really likes Patrick; they actually call him “nothing”.  They officially meet at a football game, shortly after they go to a party, and he became friends with everyone. That night he gets welcomed to the group they call the island of misfit toys. He gets called a wall flower because he sees things and he understands. There is conflict in the group where he is forced to stay away from them.  Until they make up in the end after because Charlie stands up for Patrick. Then all of Charlie’s friends leave for college, and then he ends up going into a mental institution because his past comes to haunts him. There is a lot more that goes on but that was the basic points that happened.  It is a very intense film that you will enjoy time and time again.  The movie also expresses life lessons such as “we accept the love we think we deserve.” It’s a very true statement that will speak to you from the heart. There are lots of quotes from the movie and book that are inspirational another example of this is “So, I guess we are who we are for alot of reasons. And maybe we'll never know most of them. But even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them.” Its rated PG-13, but I recommend it 100% for all people that can watch it. It is one of my favorites!

 

The Waterboy

       What’s better? Water or Gatorade? If you chose Gatorade, you just angered Bobby Boucher. In Adam Sandler’s classic hit, The Waterboy, he plays a sweet momma’s boy who finally grows up. After years of being a water boy and being fired from his job as the aquatic engineer, Bobby goes searching for a new job. This search would land him in the office of Coach Klein, the Head Football Coach of South Central Louisiana State University (SCLSU). After becoming water boy at this new school, Boucher discovers his God-given talent one day during practice. Soon after being hit by a football, Boucher becomes enraged and tackles the starting Quarterback. At this moment, the team realized they didn’t just have a water boy, but a tackling machine. This machine would lead the Mud Dogs to a fantastic season and a trip to the Bourbon Bowl. The Mud Dogs would win their bowl game and life of Boucher begins. After winning the big game, Bobby Boucher goes off to marry his girlfriend, Vicki. Even though momma’ said she the devil, he loves her.

            What I love about this movie is the innocent comedy of Bobby Boucher. From his speech impediment to his rage, he is overall a hilarious but admirable character. There are many scenes in the movie when Boucher’s personality becomes humor. An example of this is the classroom scene in the beginning of the movie. If you have seen the movie, you know it’s when he has a disagreement with his teacher, “Colonel Sanders,” and tackles him. Bobby Boucher is the sole reason I put this movie in my top five, his personality is hilarious and makes the movie what it is.

            After reading many reviews, people overall had the same idea about the movie, that it was goofy and stupid, but hilarious. The one review I chose to use was a review from rottentomatoes.com. The review said overall, it was a bad movie, but I disagree. It scored the movie a 32%, and says, “This is an insult to its genre with low humor and cheap gags.” However, 74% of viewers liked the movie. I am one of those viewers, I love this movie. Not only does it include a great cast, but it also has hilarious jokes which makes it one of the best Adam Sandler movies of all time.    

             

Mean Girls

My favorite movie of all time is Mean Girls! Although it came out in 2004, nothing has come in its place since then. Main Characters are Lindsay Lohan (Cady Heron), Gretchen Wieners (Lacey Chabert), and Karen Smith (Amanda Seyfried). "Raised in the African bush country by her zoologist parents, Cady Heron thinks she knows all about the "survival of the fittest". But the law of the jungle takes on a whole new meaning when the home-schooled 16-year old enters public high school for the first time. Trying to find her place between jocks, mathletes, and other subcultures, Cady crosses paths with the meanest species of all - the Queen Bee, aka the cool and calculating Regina George, leader of the school's most fashionable clique, the Plastics. When Cady falls for Regina's ex-boyfriend Aaron Samuels, though, the Queen Bee is stung - and she schemes to destroy Cady's social future. Mean Girls to me will never get old, it depicts high school in both a realistic and unrealistic way that girls in high school that can relate too. It shows that girls are ruthless and will do anything to get even with another girl. Mean Girls never fails to make me laugh, no matter how many times I've seen it! There are so many memorable quotes from Mean Girls that I still use till this day!

 My favorite quote is "Get in loser we're going shopping"-Regina George. 

I think that everyone should watch Mean Girls because its a great movie that wont fail to make you laugh! Its a movie that people can relate too especially girls in high school. Although the drama might not go to the extent that it does in Mean Girls, it is definitely a movie that girls can relate too when it comes to drama! Mean Girls was rated with a 6.9/10 by the Rotten Tomatoes. Wayalife

Wayalife, isn't necessarily isn't a product or anything of the sort, but a group of friends living a specific way. They are a group of people that have a youtube channel called wayalife. The channel itself is dedicated to off-roading in Jeeps. They take Jeep Wranglers, and take them to the limit. Jeep has a specific saying, "More than just a jeep-It's a way of life!". The whole point of the youtube channel is to gather all of their friends to show the meaning behind this said idea. They take it to a whole new level investing into not only their Jeeps, but all of their friendships as well. They take their Jeeps all across the United States, they spend some time on the pavement, but they focus more on the dirt and rocks. They take their vehicles to the breaking point and sometimes beyond it.

     This is just a small example of some of the crazy things that they force their Jeeps to do. Even though they started off very small just as a few friends getting together to take their Jeeps off the road looking for a challenge they have become much more. Still doing it for the fun and the experience, but people are now paying them to create films, and endorse the videos that they do. It goes to show how large of a culture it is becoming. On their youtube page alone they are up to nearly fifteen thousand subscribers. Their following has become large and it is still growing. Just to show how many people participate in these similar events is a picture below.                                                                                                                          

Wayalife has constantly evolved since it has begun, and is constantly expanding. The society that is involved in it is always doubling and making the scene become even larger. The constantly changing environments and additions to the society provide a forever changing atmosphere, and it will never get old. My experience with off-roading has never come close to what these people do, but one day I hope to accomplish what they have. At first though it is all about getting started, be it in a small truck or jeep, their is always an opening for more people.

Jimmy's Pizza

         Hey guys, I am here to write a review about Jimmy's Pizza.  They are a small sub shop right off campus.  I highly recommend Jimm's for a few reasons.  First of all they are easily accessible.  They are just off campus, so if you have a car it is only about a five minute drive.  They also accept Bison Bucks.   This can really come in handy when you are out of cash and do not want to eat the dining hall food anymore.  Jimmy's is also open all seven days a week from 10 in the morning to 10 at night, so whenever you get hungry they will be there.
         They have really good subs, especially the chicken fingers.  My favorite is their chicken finger sub, but their chicken park and chicken finger plates are also equally as good.   They also have one of the best calzones I have ever tasted.  When I am not getting a chicken finger sub, I am getting a calzone.  The only thing Jimmy's is not up at the top is their pizza.  I am a fan of a lot of cheese on my pizza, but their pizza has a thin layer of cheese.  
      My favorite part about Jimmy's is the size of their subs.  their large subs could feed about three people or one really hungry man.  Their large is about 20 inches long and is real filling.  A large sub is only 10 dollars too.  Everything about this restaurant is perfect for a Nichols student.  No car on campus? That is okay too, because Jimmy's delivers.   I highly recommend you eat here.

Fihlo's Cucina

        If you ever find yourself in the area of Groton, Massachusetts it is simply impossible to pass through without stopping for a bite to eat at Fihlo’s.  To self-taught executive chef and owner Osvaldo "Ozzie" Fihlo, Fihlo's Cucina is more than just an Italian restaurant, but truly a dream come true.  At the young age of thirteen, Ozzie realized his passion and love for cooking while working in one of his father's restaurants.  Prior to opening his own restaurant, Ozzie worked as a head chef in one of the most premiere Italian restaurants in Boston’s North End where he gained invaluable experience.  Ozzie now has over 25 years of experience in the kitchen, although, for the last eleven years he has both operated and owned this establishment. 

        In order to create an attractive and appetizing menu, Ozzie relied heavily on his Italian- Brazilian heritage.  The menu at Fihlo’s is certainly original, containing several recipes that have been passed down through the generations in Ozzie’s family.  Unlike most other restaurants, all of the food prepared in Fihlo’s kitchen is freshly made to order that same day and is top quality. 

        Whenever I come home from school on the weekends, my family and I almost always go to Fihlo’s for a late lunch or dinner.  There is never really a dull moment at Filho’s as the restaurant is always packed full of hungry stomachs.  Of the countless enticing options on the menu, two of my favorite meals include the pollo piccata (chicken sautéed in garlic butter with fresh herbs, spices, and a lemon sauce) and the pollo parmesan (chicken sautéed in a seasoned breaded batter with a marinara sauce and topped with mozzarella cheese).  I would certainly recommend either of these to dishes to a first time diner at Fihlo’s. 

        As a whole, the portions at Fihlo’s are superb and are more than a fair deal based on the quality of the food itself.  Fihlo’s is also uniquely set up as a counter service establishment allowing for its staff to quickly and effectively serve its customers.  Furthermore, Fihlo’s is attached to the local liquor store, the Groton Market and is a BYOB.  Fihlo’s is certainly my favorite restaurant to enjoy a nice meal with my family.  In my opinion, you truly have not tasted authentic Italian cuisine until you have dined at Fihlo’s and sampled some of Ozzie’s creationhlos.  For more information on the dining and catering options available at Fihlo's, you can find everything on their website, http://filhoscucina.com/home.asp 

     

Yummy Restaurant

Yummy Restaurant is a place to go to have drinks with your friends and eat great food. They are located in Dudley, MA right down the street from Nichols. This is an easily accessible restaurant for kids to get decently priced Chinese food and sit down or have it delivered to them. You can always stop in and listen to there nightly karaoke and have a few laughs. This is a place to bring your friends on a night out to grab food and listen to the bands that play or even just eat sushi and sit at the bar.

Yummy originally started in Webster, MA but then moved to Dudley to get more business and have a bigger place. They are known for their strong drinks and friendly waiters. A lot of people recommended this restaurant for older people that can sit and have a drink. There have been a lot of comments and the highly priced food but in the end the customers think it’s worth the money to pay for the great food.

A lot of people are attracted to this restaurant because of the strong drinks and the atmosphere that it has. It’s an easily attracted place because of the location. It is right down the road from a college and high school and 2 seconds down the road from Connecticut. You have a different variety of people traveling to this place, which is not always a good thing but can be good in a way because of the different people that they will tell them about. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys Chinese food and sushi. I would also recommend it to young adults because of the happening atmosphere that it gives off.

A lot of reviewers talked about how good the drinks were and how friendly all the workers were. The reviews that I read through weren’t always good but a lot of people did have a lot to say. The main bad things about this restaurant were that the prices were too high but that can always be fixed down the road.

Along Came a Spider

James Patterson is easily one of the best horror/ mystery writers I have personally ever read. He keeps his readers in tuned, and when you are reading his books you feel as if you are watching a movie due to the vivid images that he paints, with his words, in the descriptions of his book. One of my favorite books by James Patterson, which I just read over winter break, is “Along Came a Spider.”

Patterson opens up the Alex Cross series with this book, “Along Came a Spider.” In along came a spider many relationships are sparked between not only adults, but little children. The main characters of the book are Maggie Rose Dunn, daughter of an actress, Michael Goldberg, son of secretary of state, Alex Cross, Jezzie Flanagan, and Gary Soneji.

When Maggie Rose went missing along with her friend, Michael Goldberg, the nation was abruptly shaken. America’s golden children were suddenly taken. This book would be the first for Alex Cross and his team; little did he know the longevity of this case. Little did Cross know that he would be dealing with a pathological liar and a psychotic serial murderer and killer. Gary Soneji had his plan ready since he was in his teens; nothing was going to stop him, not even the FBI. Soneji was always one step ahead of the game.

Behind the scenes Alex Cross and his co-worker, Jezzie Flanagan, are holding a secret love affair. After finding missing reports from Jezzie and her team, he soon realizes that he needs to get inside of the head of this psychopath.

On a scale of one to ten, I would give this book a ten. I highly recommend this book to anyone. This book is a fast read due to its turn to turn thrill. Every time I told myself to put the book down, I simply could not and would end up reading another hundred pages. My one disappointment about this book was the movie. I recommend you read the book before the movie due to the fact the movie leaves out extremely major parts of the movie. For instance, only Maggie Rose Dunn was kidnapped in the movie, whereas in the book Maggie and Michael were both kidnapped. Take a chance at the series of Alex Cross books by James Patterson, I can assure that you will not be disappointed.

iPad 4

For many weeks I have been looking to purchase a tablet. I only have an iPhone, and  I wanted to have a tablet that I was able to take everywhere with me and also something that had a bigger display than my phone. I was open to looking at many varieties of tablets such as nooks, kindles and Microsoft surfaces. But I still had my eyes set on an iPad from the beginning. After getting my first iPhone a couple years ago, I will never use another brand besides Apple

Since purchasing my iPad 4 after Christmas I have fell in love with it. I use it for absolutely everything. Surprisingly, I even use it for taking notes in most of my classes. Even though the iPad mini was just released and became very popular, I was not very impressed in stores. In my opinion the screen was way too small for me and I still felt that having the same size screen as the other iPad models was better. Another thing that impressed me about my new iPad was its new retina display. Everything on the screen looked so much better than the previous iPads.

One of the reviews that I read stated that they were kind of disappointed because Apple decided to stick to the same shape as the previous iPads. I feel that this is what Apple meant the iPad to look like and this was their signature shape for iPads.  One of the things that they were impressed about was the picture and video quality in the iPad. FaceTime appeared better on this version of the iPad. They also thought that the retina display was good quality. The rest of the iPad was mostly the same. The software was the same as the other versions with an iOS software already on the iPad. Also, the hardware was the same for this iPad model as well.

Nike Air Max

I am writing a review on the Nike Air Max shoe. This has been a shoe I have worn since I was in middle school and have had a great experience wearing them. I find this shoe provides the comfort and style guys my age are looking for. With this shoe Nike brings to you something that is lightweight compared to other shoes produced by Adidas and Reebok. The soles of the shoes are cushioned and the air pockets on the bottom of the shoes provide you with the maximum flexibility possible while wearing a sneaker.

This sneaker could be used as a training shoe or as something to wear casually. By training, I would only suggest using them for things such as lifting weights. I wouldn't suggest using them for running because the shoe isn't built for activities like that. If you use the shoe for its intended purposes it will provide you with a durable sneaker guaranteed to last you many years.

The Air Max sneaker usually is priced at around $95 - $125 in the United States. Since it is a well known brand and a durable shoe that isn't a bad price. If you don't wear sneakers everyday like I do then this would not be worth your money. But if you are willing to put out a little extra money it will be worth it to buy this sneaker. The sneaker provides you with today's current style for young adult males and they even produce women's shoes. You can find this sneaker at almost any reputable shoe store such as Sports Authority, Dick's Sporting Goods or even www.nike.com.

Many celebrities nowadays wear these shoes including Wayne Rooney, Macklemore and Ronnie from the show "Jersey Shore." I think over the past six years I have bought a total of five pairs of Air Max sneakers. Every pair I bought I have had good results with them. They bring me the comfort and style I look for when I'm buying sneakers. My favorite type of Air Max is the 90 version.

Fillingham's Restaurant Sports Bar

Fillingham’s Restaurant Sports Bar is a local sports bar located in Southampton, New York. Fillingham’s was establish in 1980. Inside of this sports bar is a lot of history of famous sport pictures and trophies from over many years. When you walk in to Fillingham’s, its like walking into a layback place where you can meet up with your family or friends anything in the afternoon. It’s a small place but really warm feeling when your there.

For their menu, they relate it to baseball terms. For starters, they list them as Bench Warmers and Pre-Game Show. Some of the Bench Warmers they have are Irish Nachos, Jalapeno Poppers, Clams on Half Shell, and favorite corn fritters, and many more. As for Pre-Game Show, they are also like the starters as well. For the main meal, they’re listed under Sports Pages. There you would find many different burger and hot dogs to choose from, and the kid’s menu, which is called Little League, is also located in the Sports Pages.  Some of their burgers are called after some baseball players and different players as well. For example, they have a Jeter Burger, which is a burger with chili on it. For dinner they have “the main event- after 5p.m.”

This is usually there all the time and is located in the middle of the menu. They also have Daily Specials, which are located on a white board that is in each room. The specials come with a salad, Vegetable and a choice of potato, which the main event does too.

My favorite meal it the BBQ Baby Back Ribs with a twice bake potato on the side.

Most people don’t know about this place because it’s located on a side road off of Main Street.  And most people are on Main Street want to go to a well-known place like 75 Main, which is a restaurant till 10 pm and then turns into a nightclub.  Fillingham’s is a restaurant where a lot of the locals go to get away from all of the high-end restaurants and have a nice, realizing dinner.

Whenever you go to Fillingham’s, you will always have a good time, and have a good place you can watch the game. 

Macklemore

Ben Haggery, better known by his stage name, 'Macklemore', is an American rapper from Seattle, who has recently burst onto the music scene. Although he has been working on his music for a number of years, he recently has developed some extraordinary success since partnering with Ryan Lewis, a music producer. In October 2012, Macklemore released an album entitled 'The Heist'. He recorded for the album with Ryan Lewis for nearly three years. This album includes songs that cover a numerous amount of topics, from gay marriage (song: Same Love), his hometown Seattle Mariners baseball team (song: My Oh My), and his past addiction to drugs and a relapse (song: Starting Over). One song from this album that he released as a single called 'Thrift Shop', is easily his most popular song to the typical music listener. What helped make this song so likable and successful was the different type of beat and how in the music video, Macklemore is seen buying clothes in a thrift shop. Macklemore has stated that this song is based on him and how to this day, he still buys clothes at thrift shops a few times a week. The song has been on Billboard's top 100 songs for 21 consecutive weeks, even reaching the number one spot for four consecutive weeks.

I've been listening to Macklemore's music for a about three years. He is definitely my favorite artist because he speaks from the heart. Some of the songs featured on 'The Heist', I had already known because some were released as singles. This album itself is truly a great piece of art. His songs are extremely easy to relate to, for any type of person. He isn't the type of rapper that swears in his music just because it "sounds cool" or because "it's what the listener wants to hear". That isn't true at all. He comes up with some amazing lyrics and some people my be turned off by some of the vulgar language he uses, but I say, it's just part of the art that makes his music so great.

EASY MAC

Today we are writting a review on a popular snack with many college students, and that is Easy Mac. Easy Mac is a product that is a part of the Kraft Foods Company. Many of us grew up eating a variety of the Kraft Macaroni and Cheese products. Whether it was Spongebob Squarepants style, or just the original everyone loved Kraft Mac and Cheese. Now we are at college though. Mom is no longer around to waste fifteen minutes of her day making us lunch and the school won't let us have cooking appliances in our room. So what's the alternative?
  

All you need is a microwave! You don't need a bowl because it comes with one. You don't need to add milk or butter! There is some white dust already in the bowl for you which I guess will apparently just take it's place. All it takes is a little bit of water, there is even a line on the cup for us that are not that great at cooking or measuring. All you have to do is put the cup in the microwave for three and a half minutes and wait............. Okay not tak it out add your little packet of cheese, stir it up with you eating utencile and you have what tastes just like a home cook meal. Okay, maybe not but it probably tastes better then whatever dinner was that night.

This begs the question... Is Easy Mac the best dorm room snack ever?

If you're looking for a movie that has a thrill, that keeps you on the edge of your seat and wondering whats going to happen next. A movie that take you back in time and adds a new heroic story to one of the darker sides of American history that throws you some unexpected comedy. Then Django Unchained is the movie  you want to see as soon as you can.
This movie has a story line that is ever more developing as the movie moves along. what initially starts out as a simple slave transaction turns into a journey throughout the United States on a bounty hunting spree making the men rich and instills in them a sense of right and wrong.
As winters icy grip loosens our hero's embark on a journey to save the long lost wife of our outspoken, overzealous champion. Their journey brings them to one of the largest plantations on the south "Candy Land". It is here where Django shows to the world he is not just another average black man. He rides into "Candy Land" on a horse, shocking both the slaves on the plantation, as well as the other workers there. Who is shocked most of all is the house slave, who seems to be suspicious whole situation. As Django and the Doctor have tricked the owner of the plantation into thinking that they are there to purchase one of his Mandingo fighters. when in actuality they are there to rescue Django's long lost wife Broomhilda. As the house slave discovers the true reason why they are there, the negotiations become more intense, resulting in a gun blazing, explosive brawl for the ages.

This film was perfectly cast with Jamie Foxx (Django), Christopher Waltz (Dr. Schultz),  Leonardo DiCaprio (Calvin Candy), Kerry Washington (Broomhilda), and Samuel L. Jackson (Stephen). The great cast combined with a story line that had not been explored before in this way turned this film into an epic journey through the troubles, tribulations, and adventures of one man determined to find his wife and secure their freedom at any means necessary.
