Final Reflection

This pass semester, I had taken a class called Digital Applications. I had learned a lot from this class, like how to make a website to help you get your name out there for the business but the most two important ones is how to use Excel and how to put effects on a PowerPoint presentation.

On Excel, the class got to learn a lot about the program. One thing that I learned about this program that I loved is that if you highlighted the row of number and want to average them all together, the computer would do the entire solving your math for you. So it saves you a whole lot of time so you can do something else. Another part about the excel program that I learn about was that you can make a graph, well any kind of graph. First you have to choose what kind of graph you want to make. It could be a pie, bar or ling graph and you could chose it to be in 3-D or 2-D. Once you pick what kind of graph you want, you then put the data in and the computer does the rest for you.

On PowerPoint, you mostly use it for presentations. When we had to do our group presentations in class, I had no idea what some of the details that our professor was talking about. I find out new ways to a PowerPoint more alive. I find out how to put music in the background, how to get a video onto the side without using the link, and much more. We also find out that you can have transition with your PowerPoint to make it not as normal as everyone else is PowerPoint.  

With all this new information, I could use it in future projects or presentations that I have. This class is good to learn about new ways to use the computer in a presentation and to helps you keep in touch with the new kind of technology that changes each year.  

My Final Reflection

All in all, I've token allot from this class. Now every time I go on the computer at my home I have a different outlook on it. Now it seems like there is much I don't know about the computer when before it was the opposite. I've gained knowledge about the computer that I wouldn't gotten from any other college class anywhere.

Microsoft Excel easily taught me the most. When it comes to crunching numbers and making graphs about surveys I know exactly where to go now. Surveys is something I've been doing since I was a softmore and high school. I would've never thought that I would be calculating them and creating them into sometime as big as what we've did for it in class. I thank you for teaching me how to use Microsoft excel because this is something that I knew existed, but haven't used all thought out high school. I'm certain that I'll be doing surveys in the future, and with the knowledge that I've now acquired, I'll be sure to put you teaching into good use.   Thanks to you, I'll also be sure to put your flyer teaching into good use. As I partically expressed in my latest portfolio, flyer's is something that I've always wanted to know how to do. Not only that but its something that I always thought to be very challenging until I done it in this class. How you make things that seem big to us very small is something that I applaud you for. I wasn't more proud of myself about something until I finished my flyer and saw how it looked.  This is something I could assure you will see from me again; my own flyer. Making a movie was easily the most significant and hardest project we've done in this class. And at the same time was where I learned the most. This movie is something that I'll have on my YouTube account and is something that I'll always remember as being my greatest work on the computer that I've ever done. I learn not only how to make a movie, but I learned how to insert my voice into videos, insert music into video, and make a video look as smooth and nice as you see on the various ones on YouTube. Digital apps is a class everyone should take early in there school career because its really a huge stepping stone on the various things you could find on the computer. Like I said before, I didn't know it was possible to do half of the stuff that I've done on my own. I looked at things you assigned us and thought 'That will take a good month," and it would end up only taking me a couple hours. You've enlightened me in many ways. I am lucky to have had the opportunity to take this class. Thank you again

Final Reflection

I learned a lot from this Digital Applications class and there are many things I can take away from this class and use it as I move forward in my college career. One of biggest things I learned was how to make videos using a program called 'Movie Maker'. I have always wanted to create my own little montages on my computer and thanks to this class, I can finally do that. I got to take clips from other videos on the internet and turn them into my own. I thought it was really cool how I could create different animations and features on the video as well.

A second thing we did was the decades project, where we took an in-depth look at how to use Microsoft PowerPoint. While doing the group project, we learned how to embed videos onto slides, create timelines, and use animations no one has ever seen before. I thought this project was the most useful for us college students because as we move on here at Nichols College, using powerpoints and other visual aids is a vital part of other class presentations. These visuals can also make a student feel more comfortable while presenting in front of a class. This goes to show how much Nichols College truly cares about a students well-being.

All in all, I feel the Digital Applications class here at Nichols College is a very important one. Students shouldn't take this class fro granted, because it's a huge benefit to you that not many other colleges offer to their students.

Final Digital Apps Blog of the Spring Semester

Over the course of the spring semester, I learned a great deal from my digital applications class.  Many of the projects and assignments I completed taught me a great deal about the same computer programs and applications that I have been using for years.  Before I took this course I felt as though I had a strong understanding and mastery of these technological tools, although I soon realized that there was much left to learn.  As a whole I believe my excel project, my video production assignment, and my decades group power point presentation were the three projects that will most benefit me as I continue my academic career here at Nichols College.

As an accounting and finance major here at Nichols, I will be spending a great portion of the next three years dealing with excel.  Creating detailed financial reports and spread sheets requires a strong understanding and mastery of skills with the Microsoft Excel program.  It was both helpful and beneficial to learn how to make simple pivot tables, graphs, and organize data in a comprehend-able, attractive format.  Furthermore as a future accountant in the workforce someday I will be expected to know how to navigate and utilize this tool.

The video production assignment was the most challenging and rewarding project I completed over the duration of the entire semester.  I learned how to incorporate pictures, video, music, and voice overs to create my presentation. Prior to enrolling in digital applications, I had never before had any experience in creating my own video presentation.  I have had a lot of experience in creating power point presentations all through high school and already throughout my first year here at Nichols, but never before had I dealt with this program.  I believe that this project will benefit me academically in the long run due to the fact that it provides me with a new and interesting way of presenting projects in future courses of my academic career and also when I go to work someday.

In regards to the group Power Point presentation, I believe that I learned numerous lessons.  Cooperation and communication are two necessities in order to work effectively with group members.  I strongly believe that my group and I did a fantastic job of collectively contributing to the overall presentation, which made the project that much better.  In addition, I enjoyed the Power Point presentation as I learned how to embed videos, add sound effects, and incorporate several other elements.  In the workplace and over the next few years I will have to know how to create presentations that catch the eye of my professors and superiors.

In conclusion, I feel as though digital applications has prepared me for upcoming presentations and projects I may be assigned in other classes and eventually in the workplace someday.  Often times those with the most attractive and creative presentations or projects are the ones that achieve good grades or get the promotion at work.  Through taking this course I strongly believe I have gained some assets that may give me a future advantage.

Dream Vacation

If I were to go on my dream vacation, there is only one place I would go. That would be Florida in March. You might be asking, why so specific on the month. Well there is one simple reason, baseball spring training. To be even more specific. I am a huge baseball fan and spring training is like the mecca of baseball fans because about half of the ball clubs are in one state for an entire month. Now this isn't the cheapest trip to take. A plane ticket from Boston to Miami averages around $185. Plus you have to deal with the price of hotels in Florida, not the cheapest. Luckily for me I have close relatives that live in Boca Raton, so I would not have to worry about the expense of a hotel.

Florida at this time of year is probably the best time to go. The temperatures are in the nice ranges around eighty degrees with the water being very close if not the same. Going around this time of year also eliminates the chances of running into the very annoying summer tourist so it is very peaceful and fun at the beaches.

But then there is the real reason I am there, spring training! Baseball has been my favorite sport for the longest time. I can remember a time were baseball was not part of my life. The thing about spring training is that there are so many teams and the tickets are so cheap. The average spring training ticket is around $15 and there are so many games every day and every week. Even better all the games are within an hour or two in driving distance, making it so convenient. If I where to go down there for two weeks I could probably see about 18 games. Now I don't know about you but that is one of the greatest deal I can think of. so in reality a two week trip down to Florida for spring training would cost about $900 if you include the plane tickets, game tickets and cost of food and other things that are needed to be spend for a good vacation.

King Dream Vacation

 


    For my dream vacation I would go to Tokyo, Japan. I would go mainly because of their influence in fashion. I am in the process of starting my own fashion line so going to Japan would be a good opportunity to scout possible markets and to source fabrics, designs, and other things to help build my brand.
    For this trip I'd like to stay in Tokyo for a week. The approximate cost to stay at the Park Hotel in Tokyo would be around one thousand dollars for a week. The approximate airfare cost would be $1200. You can find quotes for airfare at KAYAK. So my travel expenses will be $2500, to be on the safe side. Beside airfare and hotel, I will bring money for food and shopping. I will bring $1000 for food and $1500 to shop.
    During my trip to Tokyo there are two main points I would visit and like to acclimate to. The Daikanyama shopping district, and Tokyo's midtown. These are two areas that do a good job displaying Tokyo's architecture, and houses many shops. It will give me a good chance to see the culture of Japan, as well as the structure and system of the retail.

There is only one place I would like to go visit again is Oklahoma. Mostly because all my family is down there, also my tribe is there. I think it would be nice to see where I come from. I also love the weather, tornadoes are calm and when I was little I wanted to be a meteorologist so I like the constant change in weather.

 I never been to a powwow I’ve heard of everyone going and how much fun they have. I want to experience it for myself. I know my cousin Jenna been to a few when she was younger, she said they were an experience of a life time.

I only had been down to Oklahoma once when I was eight. I don’t remember much because I was little. But I do remember eating biscuits and gravy every morning, my uncle and I messing around, meeting my cousin for the first time, and going to Texas. We went to Kensie Texas to visit the military base my dad was born in. every generation of the Howe clan goes in and serves its 4 to 8 years.

I would not want to live there permanently.  I want to experience Washington DC. Then again Berkshire County is where I am from. It may not seem much to me now but, it’s where I grew up. It’s beautiful there; I would not trade it for the world. Life takes you on many journeys; I may not know where ill end up, but I’ll never forget my ground roots.

I am not too sure how much the cost of living in each area is but, I know for a fact the Washington DC will cost the most because of its location. Second would be the Berkshires and the cheapest would be Oklahoma. In all places I will end up I still will be able to have a family (not any time soon). I think at the time it will come down to what part do I want to live in the west, the south or back home.

 

Bora Bora

 

 A place that one day I aspire to go to is Bora Bora. Many people ask where Bora Bora is. So where is it? Bora Bora is an island in the Leeward group of the Society Islands of French Polynesia. The population of Bora Bora isn't enough to keep the economy going, the island relies heavily on tourism. Many people go to Bora Bora or at least strive to because of their villages on the beautiful ocean.

 

 This island is a favorite destination for many of the rich and famous. Celebrities include the Kardashian family, Kristin Bell, and Jeff Goldblum. Many of the tourists are infact celebrities and that is because it is difficult for the island not to fill up of tourists. Only the wealthy and the prestigious are able to reserve their spots.

Traveling to Bora Bora is not cheap. For a 5 day 4 night stay flight and hotel included the cost averages between $4,000-$9,500 per-person! Most people think that the cost may be ridiculous, however if I am ever able to have that kind of money, I'd be the first one to sign up for a trip down to Bora Bora.

On this island you can feed sharks and sting rays... Something like that is something you'll never forget. Of course you can snorkel too! The most enjoyable thing to do on this beautiful island though? Kick your feet back and relax!

I don't know if it is the relaxation factor that draws me to this island or if it is just the crystal clear waters. Either way- This is my dream vacation. I only hope it will come before I have children so I am able to relax there just like everyone else. Bora Bora is my ideal location for a honey moon. What better place is there to spend some time with your newlywed than an island that you feel as if you're the only on it!

Paris

Last summer for my graduation I went to Paris, France. This was the best vacation I have ever been on and I would recommend anyone to visit if they ever have the opportunity. My family and I flew Air France from Boston straight to Paris. On the AirFrance website the cost of these tickets can range from $537 and up for a one round trip in the Economy section of the plane. For accommodations in Paris, it is much cheaper to rent an apartment instead of staying in a hotel. This also depends on how long you are staying. For a longer period of time it is more beneficial to stay in an apartment.

 

We stayed for a week and instead of staying in a hotel it was a lot cheaper for the four of us to rent out an apartment.  My aunt went on ParisAttitude.com to find an apartment to stay in. This website has many apartments to view. They can range from studio apartments to 4 or 5 bedrooms, depending on who is going with you. We stayed in this apartment which is located on Boulevard Saint Germain, in the Latin Quarter of Paris. It is not that close to many tourist sites besides Notre Dame, but it was really easy to find transportation. A metro station was right around the corner, and there were two bus stops right across the street from where we were staying. One thing we found most convenient about the city was that the public transportation was so much cleaner and easier to get around than we expected. For all of us to get around we purchased Ticket Mobilis. These you can use on every form of public transportation in the city. The only way to determine the costs is what zones of the city you want to visit. The more zones you want to visit, the more you have to pay. The maximum you would have to pay would be 15,65 €.  

Another advantage of the city is that many of the tourist sites are free such as: The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Champs Elysees, and the Arc de Triomphe. The only sites we did have to pay to get into were the Louvre Museum and a tour of the Seine River. This was one of my favorite things to do in the city because you are able to see all of the important parts of the city in an hour. We took the Vendettes Pont-Neuf for the tour and it only costed 13,00 € for a tour which is fairly cheap for the city. One of the restaurants we went to many times during our stay was Le Petit Pontoise which had amazing food. I tried almost everything on the menu, but my favorite was the escargot! They got many great reviews on their food from various websites.

Looking to get away from everyone? Actually, get away from the world in general! Bora Bora is truly heaven on earth. It is most beautiful patch of islands on the face of the earth. I have never been here before, but it has always been my dream to go to this place ever since I saw the movie Couples Retreat when it came out in 2009. The movie takes place in Bora Bora. Throughout the hole movie, scenes are shown all around this beautiful place. The water is so clear, you can see the sea shells on the sea floor. Look out over the translucent waters of the lagoon as you dine on inspired specialties that highlight Polynesian and French traditions. Treat yourself to an elegant three-course meal prepared by the  executive chef in the Arii Moana restaurant and served on the beach or in your bungalow. Relax in the shade of a thatched roof as you sip tropical cocktails and enjoy salads, sandwiches, and desserts at the Fare Hoa Beach Bar. A Golfer's Dream Vacations

If you are a true golf fanatic than there are only two real dream vacations a person can take in life.  The first would be to take a trip to Augusta, Georgia to play a round on Augusta National.  The second dream vacation would be to travel to Scotland to play the Old Course at St. Andrews.  Either of these two trips would most definitely be a golfer's dream come true.

Augusta National

Augusta National was both founded and designed by Bobby Jones, one of the best golfers to ever play the game, and also few other individuals including Clifford Roberts and Alister Mackenzie.  The course officially opened in the year 1933 and is most notable for hosting the annual Masters tournament, one of golf's four majors.  Augusta National is without any doubt one of the most challenging courses in the world both physically and mentally.  While playing Augusta National, you will have to make sure that you hit the ball extra far, as the course yardage is just shy of 7,500 yards.  Furthermore, your mental game will be challenged due to the fact that the scenery of Augusta is so breathtaking that it has been described as difficult to maintain one's focus.  Despite the fact that it is a private club, meaning that only members or invited guests are allowed to play on the grounds, if I ever got the opportunity to play a round there it would surely be a dream vacation in my eyes.  As a whole traveling to Augusta from Massachusetts would be a moderately expensive trip as you could either drive or fly.  I would recommend driving in order to do extra site seeing in the many cities and attractions along the way.  Driving to Augusta would cost around a thousand dollars in gas, food, hotel, and golf money.

The Old Course at St. Andrews

The second dream vacation for any golfer would be to take a trip to Scotland to play the Old Course at St. Andrews.  This vacation would be truly amazing as this is the birthplace of golf, the greatest game on earth.  Unlike Augusta National, the Old Course at St. Andrews remains public to this day since its establishment in 1552.  In other words, anyone has the ability to play at this course if they reserve a tee time and have the money.  The Old Course at St. Andrews is one of the most recognizable courses in all of golf, and has also hosted countless premiere tournaments including the Open Championship.  As a whole, I believe going to Scotland would be a great experience not only for the golf but also to experience the culture their.  There are several other points of attraction on can visit both in and around St. Andrews that only enhance one's overall experience.  Opposed to the trip to Augusta National, traveling to Scotland to play St. Andrews would be an extremely expensive trip, with costs upwards of five thousand dollars if you were to bring only three guests with you and stay for just a week.

I would recommend either of these two destinations as a must visit.  The history behind these two locations spans hundreds of years involving countless countless stories of great individual and truly amazing events.  

Yearly Visit to Florida

Every year during April vacation my mom, my sister and myself would go down to Florida to visit my grandfather and step-grandmother. They moved from Springfield down to Lady Lake when I was five years old. They live in a small section called The Villages which is famous for its golf courses and being what they call a "golf cart community." I'm very big into golf so having a week of 80 or 90 degree weather in the middle of April is a dream come true for me. Usually I have the opportunity to go out twice while I am down there since there is much more for us to do during the vacation.

Since it is a vacation, we go out for food to a variety of places throughout the week either for lunch or dinner. My favorite place we have gone over the years is called Oakwood. I was never big into barbeque ribs until we went to eat there a couple years ago. Ever since then I have loved eating ribs even though I hate the mess that they can bring about. Another place that we like to visit is the Boston Fish House in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. I think my favorite part of this restaurant is not only the amazing fried haddock, but also the view of the beach in the backdrop.


Over the years we have visited many different landmarks in Florida. My favorite being Daytona Motor Speedway in Daytona, Florida. While there, we got a tour of the track and all the behind the scene things you don't normally see. It was a memorable experience because my grandfather, my sister and myself all got to stand on "Victory Lane." If you are in Daytona, the beach is a must see. So after we spent most of the morning at the Speedway, we headed over to the beach to finish off our day. I am disappointed I'm unable to accompany my sister and mother to Florida this April.

Disney World

Have you ever had a feeling that you want to go back in time and be a kid again? Well, you can! At place were "dreams come true." I am talking about Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The trip to disney could cost you less the $165 a night in a moderate restore hotel. The air far is between $200-$400 round trip. If you plan on taking a trip to Disney, the best time to go is on their off season. Disney's off-season is between the months of  January to March, and September to November.
When you off the plane, you don't have to worry about your bags and making sure you don't get them in time. Disney has their know service called The Magical Express. The Magical Express picks you and your family up and drops you off at the airport, and take care of your bags. If you pay a little more money, Magical Express would pick up your's and your family's bag and bring it straight to your room, so you don't have to worry about your bags till you get to your room. The bell men will come by and drop your bags off around 2 hours after you arrive and the best part of it, you don't need to be in the room waiting for them. But when its time to head back to the airport, they would bring you so you don't have to find a ride.
Once your at the hotel and checked in, you could head to one of the seven parks Disney has to offer. Magic Kingdom, Disney's Blizzard Beach, Disney's Hollywood Stud-

ios, Epcot, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, and Downtown Disney. Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon are two water parks that are open seasonally, and the other parks are open all year around. Magic Kingdom is famous for Cinderella's Castle, but it also has mini-parks inside. They have Frontierland, Adventureland, Liberty Square, Tomorrowland, Main Street USA, and Fantasyland. Magic Kingdom is my favorite because they just reopen and added onto Fantasyland. If you would love to take a trip away with the family or by yourself, you could aways goto Disney World in Florida. Its the place where dreams come true!

Tampa Florida

My dream destination where I would like to vacation in is Tampa Florida. The reason I chose Tampa is because it is the home of the New York Yankees Spring Training facilities. As a huge yankee fan, I want to be at the spring training games to root for a vacation trip.  I grew up watching and playing nothing but baseball. I always idolized the New York Yankees. Every spring, I try to watch at least one spring training game. I always say to myself that one day I'm going to take a trip down to Tampa for a couple of days to watch spring training baseball. My favorite Yankee's baseball player is Robinson Cano.  He is #24 for the Yankees and is also their second baseman. He won the 2011 Homerun Derby and is considered the 3rd best player in baseball of the 2012 and 2013 seasons. My trip to Florida would be for 6 days and 5 nights. The round trip flight with hotel accommodations would cost in total $1025. I would be flying by American Airlines. This total cost doesn't include rental car and gas costs.

While in Tampa, I would like to take a road trip to Miami and visit the beaches to get a tan and experience the life of sitting on the most famous beaches in Florida. Any trip that involves baseball and tanning on a beach is a trip for me. Tampa is 283 miles away and approx. 4 hours and 17 minutes from Miami Beach. I will be staying at the Holiday Inn Hotel in a Luxury Suite right on the beaches of Tampa.

My ticket prices for each game could range from $9 to $59 or if I wanted to rent a Luxury Box, it would cost $450. My rental car would be a 2013 Dodge Durango that would cost me $99 per day. For a total of 6 days of rental car use, I would pay a total of $594.

My dream trip to Tampa, Florida would be one for the ages for myself. Normally, I do not like to travel. I am a stay at home kind of guy. I don't normally like to spend too much money to travel far away where I can see it on TV or the Internet.

My Destination

 My destination is not so much as a vacation, or rather as a place I would love to own, and make my own, so I could have personalized vacations. To start with my plan I would have to purchase an island. One that fits my requirements is called Lazy Caye. This island is located in the Caribbeans, it has about 5.8 acres, and is located in a very good fishing spot. The island is big enough to build a fairly large house, and has plenty of room for activities in and around the island.

                                                                         

The island itself costs $650,000, after purchasing the island it would be necessary to build a house, and all of the fun toys that go with a house. The house I would build would be pretty large, preferably a castle, and that is going to cost a lot. 

To give a rough estimate I researched a couple of castles, and found one that I liked the style of. The castle below was built in OakBrook Illinois, and is up for sale at 4.5 million dollars. This was built on normal land, and not across the seas, so I would make the assumption that it would cost at least 10 million dollars to build this castle on an island. 

After figuring out the housing situation I would have to figure out transportation. The fastest and easiest way to get to the island would be via helicopter. The helicopter I would use, would be this one. The helicopter would allow me to leave and come back whenever I wanted to, and probably be the quickest transportation to there. If I am going to get a helicopter though, I would need to get my pilots license as well. There's a company on the east coast that I would use just for that. After getting my pilots license and having a house to live in, I would almost be all set, but I still need recreational activities. The island in the brochure that was selling it, mentioned that the surrounding areas are fantastic for deep sea fishing. Fishing being one of my hobbies back home, that would be an ideal recreation activity besides sitting at the beach. Fishing gear can get expensive, and I would also need a boat. This would be an ideal boat. Good speed, and plenty of room for fishing gear. It would probably cost around 40,000-80,000 dollars. Just to add on to the recreational side of things, I would have to get some jet skis to take out just for fun. Jet skiing has always been something I want to do, or to own one. To buy a jet-ski I would go here. That would be one the most perfect and ideal things for me to do when I can achieve such wealth, and the grand total being around 12,620,000 being a rough estimate, I'll either need to hit the lottery or make a lot of money. I will succeed though. 

Dream Vacation

I have been on many vacations, from summers in Wells and York Maine, to class trips in Quebec, and even to the Amazon and Ireland. I can say that I have enjoyed every single one of these trips. One thing that I do want to do, however, is go on a cruise. I would love to do what is called “a semester at sea,” where you don’t just visit one country but about ten. Basically you are a cruise ship for an entire semester and you go to class just like you would at Nichols. On the weekends, you stop at various locations. I would love to stop in France, Germany, Spain, Ireland, and maybe even Egypt!

 

I studied French throughout my high school career and I would love to continue learning French. While in France, I would want to visit the Eiffel Tower, La Louvre, L’Arc de Triomphe, and Notre Dame Cathedral! As bad as it may sound, I enjoy a lot of the history involving World War II, especially the Holocaust. I find it interesting because the multiple stories that is still being discovered. So while in Germany, I would love to visit the Nazi Camps. In Spain I would love to visit my friend in Madrid, but I also studied Spanish throughout high school and would like to attempt using it while in Spain. Ireland would be hands down a stop for me. Why? Well, I am very Irish! There are a lot of places I would love to visit. I would love to go back to the Cliffs of Moher in Doolin, but I would also love to visit Dublin. I still have family over there so I would of course love to visit them. Lastly, I would want to make a stop at Egypt. I really just find Egypt very special because of all the pyramids and I would love to see some mummies!

 

The Cost of this trip would be the same cost it is for me to go a semester at Nichols. There is no extra cost. The only reason I would have to pay more is if the cruise took off from Florida, where I would need to pay for my own flight. I hope to one day be able to do the semester at sea, hopefully it will happen!

    My dream place to live would be in Hawaii on an island.  It's my dream place because it's such a beautiful place to begin with and I love the beach.  For my dream house I would like it to be on the island and be very big.  The back porch would lead to my private beach.  I would want Palm trees and flowers all around.  To live here I would need a lot of money.  I would have to bring my dogs, husband (when or if I have one), sunblock, lounge chairs, patio set, floats, cleaning supplies, and everything else you would find in a house.  I would make sure I have my I.D and passport.  While being there I would just love life.  I would want to be retired so I could just relax all the time and be able to enjoy all the beauty around me. I'd go swimming and tan all day.  Plus I would want to learn how to hula dance and take surfing lessons as well.  I would also plant an orange tree in my yard or side of my house.  I would want my house to be a tan color with a variety of colorful flowers all around it.  Air fair would be about 1,200 for two people.  But to send both of my dogs I would have to pay an extra fee.  The cost for my house would most likely be outrageously expensive.  Mainly because it's on it's own island, plus the actual house.  So if I had to guess it would probably cost about one million dollars. To take the hula dancing lessons it would be about three hundred dollars.  The surfing lessons would be about six hundred dollars.  Also I would need to pay to have furniture sent over which would also be expensive.  I would sell my car in the states and just buy a new one when I arrived in Hawaii.  Not that I'd really need a car since I'm on an island.  But I would also want a yacht to go along with my house which would cost one million eight hundred and ninety five dollars.  Plus I would have to cover all of these purchases with insurance to top it all off.
